Up-coming Medicare Seminars

In October and November 2020, we will be conducting Medicare seminars in Phoenix, Arizona on upcoming 2021 plan benefits. These will be formal seminars lasting approximately 45 minutes. We will provide both light snacks and non alcoholic beverages. Due to limited safe seating call for Details, Dates & Times of these events. As Medicare Brokers we are contracted with all major Medicare Advantage, Supplement and Prescription drug plans in the state of Arizona.

ANNUAL ENROLLMENT 2020

Annual Enrollment Period (A.E.P.) is October 15th thru December 7th 2020. A.E.P. is the annual period that you can shop and makes changes to your Medicare Plan for 2021. During A.E.P. we can conduct safe one on one in-home or on site appointments in addition to telephonic enrollments.

Q. I hit the Medicare Part D donut hole every year how can I avoid this?


  •  A. 1. It's important to shop around during A.E.P. each carrier can place medication in different co-pay Tiers so a different plan may save you substantially. 
  • 2. Ask your Doctor for alternative medications that are in a lower tier if possible always use generics.
  •  3. See if you qualify for L.I.S. Low Income Subsidy available thru the Federal Government.
  •  4. Apply for a Arizona RX discount card there is no cost for signing up, you only need to be an Arizona resident, co-pays may be lower than using your negotiated prescription plan. 
  • 5. Call Patient Assistance Programs many Brand - name drug manufactures often have these programs in place to provide discounts or no-cost medications to those who qualify. You may have to provide proof of income and M.T.D. prescription Medication spending. 
  • 6. Review your monthly Prescription Drug Summary. It is set up in five sections 1 Your prescription use during the last month your total out of pocket cost and total cost of what the plan paid. 2 Which drug payment stage you are in. 3. Your out of pocket costs and total drug costs. 4 Updates to the plans Drug LIST of medications that will effect you. 5 If you see mistakes on the summary or have questions , what you should do.

We will find insurance plans that meet your individual Medicare needs. We can help you save on all your Part A - Part B and Part D services such as doctor visits, hospitalization, low-cost prescription medication and preventative health services.

What are some coverage options

Continue with your Employer Plan

  • If you are still working and have Credible Health Coverage thru your employer with 20 employees or more at age 65 you can continue on that plan with out risk of penalty.
  •  It's important to check with your Employer health group manager to verify that your plan is Medicare Credible coverage in order to assure that you do not receive a penalty at a later time. 
  • Once you decide to end your Credible Coverage you will be allowed to apply for a Medicare eight-month delayed Part B Special Election Period.

Original Medicare with Medigap/Supplement

Original Medicare after deductibles covers 80% of both Parts A & B medically necessary services, leaving you with paying 20% of negotiated costs for approved services. 


  • Medigap/Supplements plans can cover all or a portion of your 20% responsibility. You will have a six-month Guaranteed  issue of policy from your start dates of Parts A & B.
  •  In Arizona you must be 65 or older to apply for a Medigap/Supplement policy.
  •  Some Medigap/Supplements prior to January 1. 2006 included prescription drug coverage, but after that date Medigap/Supplement were restricted to include prescription drug coverage. 
  • You are allowed to purchase a credible prescription drug plan through a third party company with a Medicare contract.
  •  Presently there are 14 plan options available in Arizona. Its important to note that all Medigap/ Supplements are standardized when offering Benefits, Doctor Networks and Claim paying process. 
  • Premium pricing varies from plan to plan.

Advantage Plans/Part C Plans

  • In 2021  Maricopa County will have 52 different Medicare Advantage plans available, they include HMO's, PPO's, POS, MSA, Chronic and Dual plans. 
  • We are contracted with all major carriers making it easy for you to review what benefits are available in your area. 
  • It's important to verify that your Primary Care Doctor, Specialist, Facilities and Medications are intact for 2021.

Original Medicare & Stand Alone Prescription Drug Plans/Part D Plans

Stay compliant by choosing one of 31 Prescription plans available.

  • Medication coverage and premiums can change year to year.
  • Even if you presently are not taking prescription medication, it important to understand the penalties you May incur by not signing up when you become eligible. 
  • You are not required to sign up for drug coverage if you maintain a credible plan. There are several sources of credible coverage that are not limited to but include.
  •  Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits
  • Tricare for Life (TFL)
  • Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB)
  • SOME Job based, Retiree and Union plans.
